Out of the 12 years I have been alive I have never experienced such heat. It was a shame we really needed the extra fish to sell at the market. Recently fish has been scarce and money has been low, we really need all the money we can get. “Meg it will be Christmas by the time we get the river at this pace, hurry up!” It was so hot I bet you could fry an egg on the ground. I gasped when I saw the state of it. I had never seen the river bed so dry, this was the only way we could earn a living what would we do now?
