Juba

It’s not easy to have your whole town relying on a barely trickling, dirty stream as the only water supply. Every morning me and my brother along with all the other children in the village head down to the stream to collect water for our families. The water is not the cleanest but it’s all we have. As well as collecting water we bring some of Mums woven baskets and gather spare fruit along the bank. It’s not a lot but we get by, here in Juba we are a tight knit community and everyone is family. Lately fruit has been scarce but we still have the water. This morning me and Pablo set of with our buckets down to the stream, Niro our neighbour was standing in the stream his bucket discarded on the bank. We approached him and I have never seen the river bed so dry.
