A Blast From The Past

Brynn was on the way to her new cleaning job, she met the owner of the house Agnes who welcomed her in. Her five kids Pa, Mary Jane, Johnny, Josephine and Florence were all outside playing games. Agnes brought her to the kitchen where she handed her a flat iron and a big pile of clothes. All the clothes looked very old fashioned, she didn’t know what to think of them. After she went to the sitting room where the girls came in to read books, while Agnes shouted out the window at Pa to get the donkey ready for the ploughing! What a peculiar home,  she thought.

  1. Hello Mai C,
It seems Brynn might have somehow found her way back in time or with a very peculiar family.
Your well-written story reminded me of seeing an old flat iron my grandmother once used on the old family farm many years back but a tractor pulled the plough so we weren’t as peculiar. Well done.
