It was a lovely morning in Zoffie town, the birds were chirping and the bees were buzzing. So Polly and Peters mother and father decided they would go to the circus. The children had never been to the circus before, so they were over the moon when they heard the news,’ we’re going to the circus’ they chanted, skipping to their car. When they arrived at the circus they all looked over a red gate to see colourful tents, crazy clowns, acrobats walking on their hands and lion trainers practicing tricks with their frightening lions. ‘Wow, this is amazing I can’t wait to go see it’ peter said amazed. When the family was on their way to watch the acts Polly noticed a clown handing out balloons, she kicked up. ‘I want a balloon’ she cried. ‘No Polly, there’s no time the acts are starting now’ her mother said walking to the tent. The circus was amazing, but when a brown lioness jumped out of the wing everyone’s head turned to it. When they looked back Polly was gone…..

I’ve always wondered what the mare and it’s foal would do if I came over to their field to rub them. The mare was a beauitful brown horse and so was her foal. I grabbed my hat and jacket and walked down to the field. As I got to the gate, I enthusiastically jumped over it. The small little foal trotted over to me and the mare followed! Just as I was about to tie my lucky balloon around the foals neck I tripped over a rock and fell onto the foal, the big, brown mare was not at all happy and came over. She nearly kicked me but I dodged out of the way! It was really frightening so I sprinted back to the gate knowing that I will never be back!!!

“Come on Mum and Dad” I shouted, today I was going to the circus and I was so excited. We go to the circus every year and have never missed one. The circus is my favorite place especially “Fonzo Circus” where we were going today, I was always so excited when I go there walking the tight ropes the beautiful ballerinas and acrobats and all the animals it was so cool. Finally, when we got there was a lady outside selling balloons, she handed me a brown balloon and gave us our tickets. When we got inside the tent is a very dark and frightening until two clowns appeared and kicked each other, it was so funny. I love the circus and can’t wait to go again next year.

I woke up to my football coach shaking me he was also my dad. jumped out the bed with excitement.  I put on my jersey, shorts and football socks and I went as fast as the wind down the stairs. A few hours later we were at the pitch. There was a game on before us one girl broke her thumb and it was frightening to watch.  There was a balloon saying “ up Rockwell Rovers”. I’ve never seen as much people as I did that day all cheering for us. Suddenly the referee blew the whistle and I had the ball I kicked as hard as I could and I got a point. The pitch was very muddy and brown. 30 minutes had pasted and the referee blew the whistle we had won the match we were all so happy. It was the best day of our lives.

George’s knee had now swelled up like a balloon. They had kicked him over and over again until they knew he was too injured to keep playing. George’s team’s knees were cut and torn and caked in sticky brown mud. The last thing that George wanted to do was stand up and face this frightening team again, but he had never been in a Hurling County Final before and knew that this would probably be his last and he wasn’t going home without a cup in his hands. So he dragged himself up again and stumbled towards the ball.

It was a nice summer’s day. I was on my way to my friend’s house for a birthday party. We hopped into the car and went off. We weren’t even there yet. And I could see some balloon’s in the air. I was so excited. When I got there they had a massive bouncy castle it was so big. I ran on it to play with my friends, it was so much fun until. Someone shouted fire get out there is a fire. Every one ran out of the bouncy castle. We had to evacuate the house. Any way when we were all safe they told us the barbecue had lit on fire. I was never going there again.

One summers morning an excited girl woke up and ran downstairs to her family and friends jumping out shouting “SURPRISE” which wasn’t at all frightening to her. She looked around to see a different shaped balloon which said “happy birthday!!” She was about to thank everyone when she turned around everyone was gone. She ran outside and to a brown envelope. She opened it and it said ”happy birthday from your dear friend Sarah.” Sarah was at the party she went mising aswell. She dropped the letter and kicked it away.She has never been so confused in her life. Someone tapped her shoulder she turned around and screamed….

Jamie was 6 years old and today he was going to his first ever circus with his mum, dad and baby sister Cara. It was Cara’s first time too. As they approached the big tent Jamie could see the clowns messing around. As they walked in one of the staff handed Jamie a big red balloon. Soon it was time for the horses to come out and do their act. Suddenly someone in the audience started to clap and it was frightening the horse. Just then long brown haired man came out to calm the horse down. But instead the horse kicked the man right in the stomach. Jamie, Cara, mum and dad stood up and walked towards the door. “ I’m never going to be a circus man”, said Jamie on the car ride home and everyone laughed, even Cara.
