The Yellow Bike

One year in 2019, there was a girl called Aoife.  Her favourite colour was yellow. She also really badly wanted a bike. All her other friends had a bike except Aoife.  One day Aoife’s parents told her “ we are going away on holidays in two weeks so you better get packing”. Once Aoife heard the news she started jumping up and down. Aoife got packing straight away. Two weeks had past and Aoife and her family were heading towards Northern Ireland. They had an extremely long trip. On the way Aoife couldn’t believe what she just saw it was a yellow bike and it was abandoned. She told her parents “ stop the car”. They stopped. Aoife finally had her dream bike she loved it.

The Competition

Mia and Jack were best friends and they decided to go for a walk. They were going on an adventure through the woods when they got bored and decided to have a competition, who could find the coolest thing would win a prize. Mia went left and Jack went right. Mia found an old boot but as she picked it up there were snails and bugs inside “Disgusting” she said as she put in back down. Jack wanted to win so badly so he decided to walk on the trail beside the woods when he found a yellow spray-painted bike if he picked this, he knew he would win. He looked around to make sure that know one was looking before he was about to grab the bike, but it was stuck! He pulled and pulled but know luck. Just then he heard a noise behind him it was a lady she took the bike and Jack to!

He was never to be seen again!!

Into the Future

It was a warm summer’s evening in 2068, and Jenny was putting the finishing touches to her new invention. She was creating a teleportation box! This wasn’t any ordinary teleportation box, it was in the shape of a yellow bike. Suddenly, she heard a noise outside. She jumped to her feet as the window flew open and in came Becky on her flying hoverboard. ‘Wow, does the teleportation box work?’ asked Becky. She clicked her fingers and the family robot rushed in. Jenny pointed to the bike and the robot rushed over and sat down on the bike. Jenny pressed remote control and with a gush of wind the robot disappeared into thin air.

   The Art Competition

I’ve loved art ever since I got my first set of paint, so when the school did an art competition I jumped at the chance. We had to do it in pairs but the catch was we didn’t get to choose who. In the end I got paired with an annoying kid called Kevin. We got started on are entry, we had both agreed to do solar system, after a while of debating on it. The day before we had to submit are entry’s Kevin came over to add the final piece but as he stuck it on the whole thing crashed onto the floor and smashed in to a million of pieces. I was furious, but we improvised because I had an old bike that we painted yellow and made a collage with other old bikes and to are amazement we WON!

That Night

One misty night, I woke up to a big bang. It came from down stairs. The thing was, I was home alone. I didn’t know what to do. I was terrified. I could her some one coming up the stairs. I decided to shout. “Get out” I said. Then I heard someone run down the stairs. I jumped out of bed and ran down to see what was there. Luckily there was nothing stolen that I could see. All there was, was a yellow bike crashed in front gate. I rang my mam and dad and they rang the guards, and they never actually found the men. From that day onwards we have had an alarm in our house and I was never home alone again.

Cíans bike ‘Julie’. By Cara Cummins

Cían was a strange boy who lived on an island off the coast of Ireland. His favourite thing in the whole world was his bike. His bike was a bright yellow colour and he called her Julie. One day Cían and his family went for a cycle. They stopped at Cíans favourite shop to get Ice cream, but when he came out he dropped his ice cream as his bike wasn’t there. They searched everywhere looking for it but there was no sign of Cíans bike. Nearly a year later, Cían was walking down the street with his best friend Jack. Suddenly Cían stopped……….. he saw his bike tied oddly to a pole, the rusty, yellow, lost bike was no longer missing. Just then they saw a man coming towards them shouting “HEY THATS MY BIKE”………

The Yellow Bicycle

100 word challenge

We were walking down the old avenue near my house when it happened. It was the sunniest day of the year and my t-shirt was sticking to me as sweat poured down my forehead, stinging my eyes. I loved to walk down here in the spring time when the newly born lambs could be seen leaping over the bright yellow daffodils under the sweltering sun. The creamy texture of the ice-cream filled me with joy as my friend and I screamed with laughter. We turned the corner of the avenue and saw a yellow bicycle leaning against a telephone pole. I was surprised to see it as no children had lived down here for years, the only person I knew that lived here was an old man who spent all of his time complaining about the grass that grew in the middle of the avenue. I looked over at my friend but she wasn’t there. She was riding the bike, whizzing down the avenue!

The Wonky Bike

My friend asked if I wanted to go for a cycle with her up the wooded Glens. I said I would love to but my bicycle has a flat tyre. My friend said her neighbour had a spare bike and I could use it no problem. I was excited to be heading of on our mystery tour up the Glens. The day was bright and sunny and the sunshine rays through the trees. There were lots of twists and turns on the narrow steep road it was almost like an obstacle course.

My friend and I were deep in conversation laughing and joking as we travelled along, when next my friend hits a pot hole and her bicycle lost control and she fell over. I was trying to stop my bicycle to see if she was ok when my brakes wouldn’t work, I squeezed my brakes so tight but to no avail. The wonky bikes brakes where shagged, I tried my best to avoid the obstacles ahead when my bike hit the tall oak tree directly in front of me and I was flung from it………

The Rusty Bike 🚲

It was a sunny day and Lilly and her friend Jack where going on a
walk together. Lilly met Jack at his house and they started walking,
they where a few minute in and they decided to walk into the
woods. Lilly saw this big tree in the distance so they decided to walk
over there to have a look. When they got over there Jack noticed
something sticking out of the tree so they decided to pull it out Jack
and Lilly pulled and pulled and at the last pull they got it out it was a
rusty bike . Jack was so disappointed and he was going to walk away
but Lilly realised that it looked like a bike from the 1960.s because in
pictures she saw that her grandfather had one they pulled it all the
way home. The next day they decide to wash it up and paint it and
give it to her grandfather for a surprise a few hours later and the
where done when they surprised her grandfather he was over the
moon.

Hot Air Baloon

……when it just wouldn’t take off….

It was the day I turned ten and we got to go on a Hot Air Balloon.  We had it booked a long time and I was so excited, I could not wait to travel on a Hot Air Balloon.

On our way to the fields my Dad realised he left his phone behind, but we didn’t have time to go back for it.  We arrived at the field’s and there were lots of balloons taking off, our balloon number was 10 same as my age!

When I spotted it, I could see lots of people standing around it.  Dad went to check in and the lady said we have been trying to phone you, but Dad had it left at home. She told Dad there was a problem with our balloon, they were trying everything to fix it.

They gave it one last try, light the fire, flames shot up, the balloon started to fill with hot air, it filled and filled ready to go when it just won’t take off. That was the moment I knew my balloon trip wasn’t going to happen today and I was so disappointed.  This was definitely the worst birthday ever.
